On Friday, June 3, at the UYN Store in KaDeWe, Berlin, the “UYN for BUGATTI” line was officially presented.
This high-performance apparel and footwear collection is the result of the partnership between the two leading brands in their respective fields of functional apparel and automotive engineering and design.

Within the prestigious venue of KaDeWe – the iconic department store in Berlin – on Friday, June 3, UYN (Unleash Your Nature) and Bugatti officially unveiled the first “UYN for BUGATTI” apparel and footwear collection – the result of the new partnership between the two brands.

As Bugatti is a symbol of innovation and craftsmanship in the automotive world, UYN represents the pinnacle of technology in the sportswear sphere. The products of the Italian brand are used by Olympic champions and ultra-athletes in every discipline, from skiing to cycling. Thanks to their decades of experience, UYN’s engineers have succeeded in translating the extreme beauty and performance of Bugatti hyper sports cars into a line of the highest quality, truly modern and innovative apparel.

DESIGN THAT FOLLOWS FUNCTION

The garments in the collection are engineered in Italy by AREAS (Academy for Research and Engineering in Apparel and Sport) – the research and development centre of UYN, in ongoing collaboration with Bugatti. The partnership has led to the selection of intelligent yarns and the development of revolutionary shapes according to the principle that design follows function.

Bugatti’s legendary C-Line design element has been reinterpreted by UYN through cutting-edge textile technologies. In clothing, the curved shape of the C-Line has been transformed into the special Ergomotion® shoulder design for maximum freedom of movement. In the shoes, the C-Line highlights the highly breathable areas of the upper section, creating a combination of comfort, performance and style that is the hallmark of the entire collection.

The colours blue, white, black and red dominate the “UYN for BUGATTI” line, reflecting the identity of the Molsheim-based company and paying homage to its glorious racing heritage. Tricolour French flag-inspired stripes add a discreet sporty touch to the entire collection.

“UYN FOR BUGATTI” APPAREL COLLECTION

The apparel line includes ten models, starting with the classic cotton t-shirt redesigned into a high-performance garment. The UYN for BUGATTI shirt features Ergomotion® technology for a natural range of motion, while the sleeves are made using the 3D knit Haloflex technique that guarantees superior elasticity and breathability. Ergomotion® and Haloflex technologies also define functionality and style in the UYN for BUGATTI polo shirts – in both short and long sleeve versions. The collar with integrated BIFLOW ventilation system is a refined performance element for urban adventures.

The technical mid layer with full-length zip, high neck and soft fleece lining is designed to provide the right level of warmth in the cooler months and transitional seasons. For windy days, the ultra-lightweight and compact “UYN for BUGATTI” Wind Jacket and Wind Vest are the ready-to-wear staples. From the experience of UYN in the world of high-performance outdoor apparel comes the “UYN for BUGATTI” Rain Jacket: a sophisticated jacket made of waterproof (10,000 mm water column) and windproof fabric, full of functional details, such as the Flowtunnels ventilation system integrated into the underarm. This jacket, ideal for casual outings, achieves the perfect balance of protection and breathability, providing maximum comfort in any situation.

The “UYN for BUGATTI” Padded Jacket and Padded Vest complete the outfit with their innovative mix of materials. The elegantly quilted structure is combined with sleeves and shoulders made of 3D knit fabric and Haloflex technology. The result is extraordinary freedom of movement and perfect management of body temperature, enhanced by a unique style.

“UYN FOR BUGATTI” SHOE COLLECTION

UYN for BUGATTI” shoes are a new take on traditional sneakers. Flowing design, advanced functionality and plant-based materials come together to create a new walking experience. The collection includes the SPEED and PACE shoes. The first style features a 3D knit one-piece upper with patented Air Dual® ventilation system. Special protections at the toe, heel and sides increase abrasion resistance as well as giving the SPEED shoes a dynamic and bold style.  

The PACE model is engineered entirely from the sock according to a production technique exclusive to UYN. Ultra-elastic, slip-on and seamless, the PACE shoe wraps around the foot in outstanding comfort and adapts naturally to its anatomy. The highly breathable C-Zones on the sides, inspired by Bugatti C-Line, promote foot ventilation and help maintain the ideal micro-climate inside the shoe.

The “UYN for BUGATTI” shoes are made using the high-performance bio-fibre Natex, derived from castor oil seeds. Compared to petroleum-based materials, this eco-sustainable yarn is 25% lighter, dries 50% faster and has a natural bacteriostatic effect that minimises odours. The shoes come out with the new Horseshoe sole featuring a shock-absorbing EVA midsole and high-grip rubber tread. The U-shaped design, inspired by the legendary Bugatti radiator grill, provides greater stability and traction on all terrain.

The Italian brand continues to grow: a new shop for its high-performance products opened in Germany's most famous shopping centre

UYN® – Unleash Your Nature continues its global growth project. After opening five flagship shops in the last year (Asola, Milan, Brescia, Salò and San Ginesio), the Italian brand has taken another important step in its distribution strategy by opening its first store in Germany.
The new UYN Store officially opened on Saturday 26th March in Berlin, inside the prestigious KaDeWe shopping centre. The 200 square metre store is located on the fourth floor, in an exclusive area dedicated to the most important sports brands. Customers can discover the shoe collection and the running, fitness and outdoor lines of UYN, supported by a qualified staff ready to explain the new technologies developed by the brand and the sustainability processes implemented in the production centre of Asola (Mantova, Italy).

With 60,000 square metres of retail space, the Kaufhaus des Westens, “KaDeWe” for short, is the most famous shopping centre in Germany and one of the largest on the European continent. Since 1907, it has been the privileged gateway to the German capital for high fashion and the finest products. Within KaDeWe, UYN offers its innovative combination of technology, nature and style that is revolutionising the high-performance sportswear sector.

A place to meet the UYN identity

150 square meters for a welcoming and avant-garde atmosphere to accommodate everyone. With the opening of the 5th Flagship store continues the desire to make customers understand UYN technology by immersing them in an environment where sustainability is at the forefront.

Inside the shop, customers will be able to take an experiential journey where they will have the opportunity to touch the materials and innovations that have characterized UYN since its origins: from NATEX, the completely organic yarn obtained from castor beans, to high quality merino wool until AIRNEST, a micro honeycomb structure made entirely from textile waste and production processes.
Inside the Flagship store every customer will be able to figure out what makes UYN apparel so unique.

The store in Brescia marks a further step towards the realization of a distribution strategy based on a direct relationship with the customer. The Italian company has equipped its logistics hub in Asola (Mantua, Italy) with an innovative roofing membrane that captures and contributes to eliminate part of the polluting substances in the air.

Adopting an effective Green Strategy means choosing sustainable solutions in all areas that involve a company: from the choice of materials to the production chain, up to ordinary and extraordinary management. And it is precisely in this last aspect that Treré Innovation has decided to add a further brick to its strategy. During the maintenance work carried out in its logistics hub, the company decided to use a special NOₓ-Active membrane that according to European HQE (High Environmental Quality) criteria is effective in cleaning the air from Nitrogen Oxides (NOₓ), polluting substances whose main sources of emissions are road transport, industry, and the energy production sector.

Laboratories of major national centers such as the French National Research Council (CNRS) and National Research Council (CNR) have demonstrated that the NOₓ-Active membrane contains elements with photocatalysis depolluting properties able to capture NOₓ and under the effect of sunlight decompose it into by-products that are then eliminated by rainwater runoff.

The choice of using this innovative roofing membrane goes in the direction of the ambitious goal from Trerè Innovation of creating a zero-impact production site where energy production is already 100% sustainable and where the entire amount of textile waste is already recovered. The results communicated by the manufacturer state that over a year, 10,00 m2 of NOₓ-Active roofing is capable of neutralizing the same amount of pollution generated by 10 diesel vehicles traveling 20,000 km per year or 31 gasoline vehicles traveling 20,000 km per year.

The prize was awarded by an independent jury of 50 international experts who declared UYN EXCELERATION the winner in the Product Design category. For us at UYN this is yet another recognition of the quality of our products, which in the last three years have won over 20 international awards: each of them is a testament to the work and commitment of the brand in terms of research and design.

Starting from the know-how developed in the field of high-performance underwear dedicated to winter sports, we have launched a completely new line of running apparel designed for the coldest time of the year. EXCELERATION is characterized by high thermoregulation, cold insulation and maximum freedom of movement: everything you need to support the best performance of the runner.

The line is available for men and women with long sleeves, crew neck and zippered versions. There are also three lines of pants designed specifically for the different needs of runners: long pants, pants with windproof inserts and 2in1 pants with shorts in the men’s version and a skirt in the women’s version.

The perfect opportunity to discover the production processes that lead to the birth of technical underwear worn by the best national ski teams and by Didier Cuche himself.

The phenomenon of Le Pâquier, winner of the World Cup in Val d’Isere and holder of the record of victories on the legendary Streif of Kitzbühel (six successes, no one like him!), was able to discover a preview of the new collections in our showroom; he knew the entire production process, from design to the creation of prototypes up to large-scale production; he visited the Research Center and the new Flagship Store of UYN.

PATENTED TECHNOLOGY, FUNCTIONAL DESIGN AND ICONIC DETAILS

A key source of inspiration is the iconic Bugatti C-line, which UYN has reinterpreted in jackets and shirts through its patented Ergomotion technology®. The special C-shaped shoulder design that follows the shoulder blade profile guarantees complete freedom of movement. In the shoes made of 3D-knit fabric with zero seams, the C-line has been integrated into the upper half, becoming a powerful ventilation system. The “UYN for BUGATTI” collection reflects Bugatti’s identity also in the choice of colors (black, white and the famous Bugatti Blue) paying homage to the Molsheim-based company’s racing heritage.

He made the Italians dream with the exploits of Luna Rossa, the super boat that last March came close to winning the 36th America's Cup. Max Sirena, Team Director and Skipper of the fantastic Italian crew, visited the headquarters of Trerè Innovation in Asola (Mantova) and the brands UYN and TITICI that supported him during the adventure in New Zealand.

After an informal lunch together with the CEO of the group, Marco Redini, Sirena had a close look at the production plant where the high-tech shoes and apparel of UYN are made, the research and development laboratory where the prototypes of the future are engineered and the showroom with the latest collections.

The visit continued among the exclusive TITICI bicycles. The Italian sailor admired the special edition models, rigorously handmade to measure in Italy, and sign the frame of his F-DB02 X LUNA ROSSA PRADA PIRELLI, the road bike made in collaboration with Luna Rossa Prada Pirelli that Sirena used for training in New Zealand during the America’s Cup.

The pleasant meeting confirmed the relationship of esteem and friendship between Max Sirena and the Trerè group, and was also an opportunity to plan new projects together for the future.

Sustainability and technology

The 250 square metre space, elegant and contemporary, has been structured to offer an immersion into the UYN world and its identifying values: sustainability and technological research. Through a sensory journey, guided by explanatory graphics, customers can discover the natural raw materials and learn the production techniques that give life to the high-performance collections of the Italian brand.

It is possible to touch the castor oil seeds and bio-polymers that are at the origin of Natex yarn and compare it first-hand with traditional petroleum-derived nylon; to appreciate the difference between organic cotton (used in UYN Natural Training and To-Be lines) and non-organic cotton (chemically treated); to observe the herbs used for the natural dyeing of the garments, the fine Merino wool and eco-sustainable hemp.

The new UYN Experience Store is also a laboratory for showing the future of sportswear. Customers are given a preview of prototypes and technologies engineered by AREAS – Academy for Research and Engineering in Apparel and Sport, the Italian group’s advanced R&D centre.

A new shopping experience

The Asola shop becomes a key element in the distribution strategy of the Italian brand, an experiential store model that UYN intends to reproduce in the retail as well as in the wholesale channels, through partnerships with shops that can dedicate all or part of their display area to offer the customer a new shopping experience.
