Innovative sustainable materials
At Trerè Innovation, sustainability begins with the material.
Natural fibers, biotech materials and recycled resources are studied, tested and transformed into advanced textile solutions that combine performance, comfort and responsibility. From renewable and biodegradable alternatives to circular materials born from textile waste, every innovation is developed to reduce impact without compromising quality.
PLA
Biotech performance, engineered from sugar cane
Biolakt is a next-generation PLA polymer derived from renewable plant sugars, transformed through fermentation into high-performance textile fibers. At Trerè Innovation, this material becomes a platform for lighter, breathable and fast-drying products with a soft touch and natural odor resistance, combining technical performance with certified biodegradability and reduced dependence on petroleum-based resources.
Kapok
Vegetable wool
The lightest natural fibre in the world. Extracted from the fruit of the Ceiba Pentandra tree, it combines, thermal insulation and hypoallergenic properties, offering comfort and protection with minimal environmental impact.
Its hollow structure, composed of 80% air, makes it a natural insulator: it retains heat in cold climates and provides freshness in hot ones.

Global Recycled Standard
From 2021, our products with GRS mark comply with the standards of the international organization that attests the use of yarns and fabrics coming from recycled materials and the respect of environmental and social criteria in all the production chain. This confirms our efforts towards a circular economy model based on sustainable production and consumption that promotes the reuse of materials.
SteP (Sustainable Textile Production) by Oeko-Tex®
Trerè Innovation was among the first companies in Europe to obtain the SteP
(Sustainable Textile Production) certification by Oeko-Tex®. This guarantees that all our textile processes for manufacturing socks, base layers and sportswear are sustainable. In March 2025, that certification was reconfirmed as a level 3 – the highest achievable.
Mission 2022: a “total green” supply chain
Our goal by 2022 is to help our suppliers meet the Oeko-Tex® standard so that they too will be awarded the Made in Green by Oeko-Tex® certification – an indicator of the utmost respect for the environment.
Responsible Wool Standard
From 2023, our products with RWS mark comply with the standards of the international organization that attests the production of yarns and fabrics coming from RWS farmers and ranchers that are evaluated against animal welfare, land management, and social requirements set in the standard.
Recycled Content Standard
From 2023, our products with RCS mark comply with the standards of the international organization that attests the use of yarns and fabrics coming from recycled materials and the respect of environmental and social criteria in all the production chain.
The Science Based Target initiative (SBTi)
Trerè Innovation has approved near and long-term science-based greenhouse gas emissions reduction targets as well as net-zero target by 2050, with the Science Based Targets initiative: a corporate climate action organization that enables companies and financial institutions worldwide to play their part in combating the climate crisis.
Near-Term
Trerè Innovation commits to reduce absolute scope 1 GHG emissions 46.2% by 2031 from a 2023 base year. We also commits to reduce absolute scope 3 GHG emissions 27.5% within the same timeframe and to continue active annual sourcing of 100% renewable electricity through 2030.
Long-Term
Trerè Innovation commits to reduce absolute scope 1 GHG emissions 90.0% by 2050 from a 2023 base year. We also commits to reduce absolute scope 3 GHG emissions 90.0% within the same timeframe and to continue active annual sourcing of 100% renewable electricity through 2050.
Net-Zero
Trerè Innovation commits to achieve net-zero greenhouse gas emissions across the value chain by 2050. Direct decarbonization will be prioritized and all residual emissions will be neutralized (if applicable) in line with SBTi criteria before reaching net-zero emissions.
